Goose biot chartreuse feathers are approximately 5 to 8 inches long. These are narrow, hard, but flexible feathers about 1cm wide. The Goose biot comes from the front row of feathers on the wing. These biot feathers are dyed and sold per color. When dyed, these feathers absorb a lot of deep, vibrant colouration.

The colour chartreuse is the colour that's exactly defined as halfway between green and yellow. It is one of the tertiary colours of the HSV color wheel, also known as the RGB colour wheel.
